Write text messages, send voice messages and share photos, videos or files. These core messenger features do not require a KAS balance.
The Kaspa wallet remains part of KBeam: it provides the cryptographic identity and enables optional KAS payments.

Google Play remains the official Android source and distributes new versions automatically. If you prefer not to use the Play Store or a Google account, you can also install the same released KBeam version directly from this website as a signed APK.
There is no store to manage updates for the direct APK. You must therefore download and install future APK versions from this website yourself.

KBeam requires no Google account and does not use Google Sign-In, Google Maps, Google Pay or Google Play Billing, Play Integrity, or Play Store services. On Android, Google is used only for push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
Some locally bundled open-source and ML libraries originate from Google projects, but they provide no account, tracking, or store functionality. QR recognition with ML Kit runs locally on the device.

The iPhone version continues to be distributed through Apple TestFlight. Beta means that features and interactions may change during testing.
The website therefore does not present Android and iOS with the same release status.
