Your keys, your responsibility

A self-custody Kaspa wallet

KBeam does not hold your KAS. Wallet keys remain under your control and also provide the foundation of your cryptographic identity. Self-custody creates independence and requires careful handling of recovery data.

Elena symbolically organizes one private seed and four separate compartments for communication, payments, savings and recovery.

01

What non-custodial means

With a self-custody wallet, no central provider holds a password that can recover or move your funds. KBeam provides the interface and functions but does not custody user KAS.

If the recovery foundation is lost, KBeam cannot reset it like a conventional account. Secure handling of keys and seed phrases is therefore part of understanding the product.

02

One foundation for identity and payment

The same cryptographic foundations enable signatures, contact identity, decryption and KAS payments. KBeam separates these tasks logically so that payment does not become a requirement for private communication.

Public transactions remain visible on Kaspa. Self-custody does not automatically mean payment anonymity.

03

Wallet V2 separates life compartments more strongly

In development is a wallet architecture with separate compartments for contacts, payments, change, savings and recovery. The total balance is intended to be combined locally while visible communication and payment addresses remain more strongly separated.

Fresh payment addresses, local coin-control rules and selective rotation of the contact identity are also planned. These items are roadmap, not the currently released feature set.

FAQ

Questions about self-custody

Can KBeam move my funds?

KBeam is not the custodian of your KAS. Transactions are authorized using keys under your control.

Can support restore my wallet?

Not without your recovery foundation. That is the consequence of self-custody: no central provider holds a master recovery key.

Has Wallet V2 already been released?

No. The stronger separation of contact and payment compartments and selective identity rotation are marked as in development.

Messages without a KAS requirement. Payments when you need them

KBeam keeps communication lightweight and makes the self-custody wallet an optional extension.
